The SEPS guiding framework and the STEM-ET vision framework, developed for the initial SEPS program in 2018, can play an important role in facilitating changes in schools through school Action plans.
These two frameworks provide ways for schools to decide how to respond to the STEM agenda and how this can be enacted at various levels within the school as:
new programs
refocusing existing program
modification to teacher pedagogies
new structures within the school, such as new STEM leaders.
These two conceptual frameworks are used to:
support the development of a STEM vision for the whole school
support the design of individual STEM programs that are grounded in school context,
facilitate teacher professional learning within the school.
